United Way's Day of Action (formerly Community Care Day)  takes place on the first Friday in June. This event is an annual day of volunteerism mobilizing hundreds of local volunteers to complete community service projects throughout Montgomery, Greene and Preble Counties.  Our volunteers are individuals and groups from local companies, organizations and the community.  All ages, including youth and adults, are welcome to participate as volunteers in this event.  

In 2008, nearly 750 volunteers completed 61 projects throughout the Miami Valley. Volunteers contributed more than 3,400 hours of service at a value of over $65,000.  Check out the 2008 photo gallery!
