Agency Tool Kit
United Way's Volunteer Connection refers prospective community volunteers to nonprofit organizations serving Montgomery, Greene and Preble Counties.

Registering Your Agency
United Way's Volunteer Connection provides free services to nonprofit organizations, government volunteer programs, parks, schools and faith-based organizations. Nonprofit organizations do not need to be an United Way Partner Agency to take advantage of the services offered by United Way's Volunteer Connection. Agencies must register prior to posting volunteer opportunities. If your agency would like to register for this free service, please contact United Way's Volunteer Connection by calling (937) 225-3039 or email us.

Posting, Managing and Deleting Volunteer Positions
Volunteer program administrators are responsible for posting, managing and deleting information related to volunteer positions available within their agencies. Please ensure your posting is free of spelling or grammatical errors before it is posted. Volunteer program administrators are responsible for responding promptly to volunteer referrals, as well as updating the status of any volunteer referred to their agencies. If you experience technical difficulty while posting, managing or deleting your opportunities you may contact United Way's IT Department by emailing helpme@dayton-unitedway.org during normal business hours.

Advertising Volunteer Positions in the Media
Volunteer positions are posted each Sunday in the Living Section of the Dayton Daily News. Articles about specific volunteer opportunities in Greene and Preble Counties also appear weekly in the Xenia Gazette and Register-Herald, respectively. Volunteer positions to be advertised in the media are selected on a rotating basis. If your agency urgently needs a volunteer position posted via these media outlets, please contact us at least two weeks in advance.
